A modest description of a pretty win – Ed.

Having slipped up yesterday I avoided the banana skin today, though at one point I thought I would get short of time before I saw a clear advantage. Only four players are on 2/2.

Kf3 {The knight is trapped but  dies heroically, establishing a winning material advantage.} Nexd4+ 26. cxd4  Bxd4 27. Ba3 Kd7 28. Ke4 Bg7 29. Ne3 f5+ {Luring the king into a mating net.}  30. Kd5 b5 31. Nc2 {White could have played Nxf5 followed by Bxd6 but it's  still going to be mate.} Ne7# 0-1
