I’m sure we can all identify with Hikaru Nakamura, currently rated world number 9, as he suffers in one of his London Classic games earlier this week.

To put this in some context, Nakamura’s consternation arises from the following position. After some six hours, he has reached an apparently winning endgame with two pawns for the knight against former world champion Vladimir Kramnik.
