Final Standings Division II

Gentlemen,

The game Saj – Richard was played in Division II on Thursday night. It ended in a draw and the result means that Richard is the Division Champion not withstanding three games still to be played.

With respect to these games, were they to be played then the worst case scenario for Richard would be:

Callum

1 – 0

Richard

Peter G

0 – 1

Saj

Saj

1 – 0

Mac

but even with this set of results, Chris would still finish second to Richard albeit by the smallest possible difference in SB-Score!

So I propose that the three outstanding games need not be played and for the purpose of completeness I shall adjudicate and record three draws though of course I will not submit these results for grading. If anyone is opposed to my decision please let me know.

Therefore, here are the final standings in Division II:

3 Replies to “Final Standings Division II”

  1. I think that in principle unplayed games should be scored as 0-0 but as Steve says it is a moot point and makes no real difference to anything.

  2. Given Saaj’s recent form I’d certainly have settled for a half point against him!

  3. I don’t see why any points should be scored for unplayed games but it’s a fairly moot point.
