Divisions getting tense

We are reaching the business end of the season as far as the club’s own competitions are concerned.

Division 1 is looking extremely cagey.  With over half the games played, a point and a half covers the field – anyone could win it, no-one is safe from the drop!  Although there have been a lot of draws, many of them have been far from dull – a wild case in point is Thursday’s encounter between Chris and Mike.

Division 2 is nearly two-thirds complete.  The Editor leads the way but this is certain to change.  Joe hasn’t dropped any points yet and Marc is also looking good for promotion.  Neil, John and Ben are also contenders.

  1. Let’s hope he returns in time to complete, as he represents 50% of my wins so far!

  2. In Div 2, given that the new Ravi seems to have disappeared, what happens to the scores he leaves behind?

    1. Joe will no doubt confirm or deny but the normal policy with APA’s is for results of games from players who complete less than half their games are scrapped. If a player completes 50% or more, the results normally stand and each unplayed game is defaulted against whoever is to blame for it not being played.
However, although Ravi seems rather unavailable at present, my understanding is that this may be a temporary situation.
