The third round of the Bedfordshire individual championships, held in Leighton Buzzard on Tuesday night (17th March), saw a loss for Ben Pike to Brian Valentine. Other ties, which saw Bedford players facing each other, had been played at Bedford a few weeks ago. Paul Habershon had beaten Steve Pike and Steve Ledger had taken the lead in the tournament by beating Mike Botteley.
