In division 1, Mike drew with Alex in a game of changing fortunes. Paul achieved the same result against Richard, although in a rather less exciting encounter.
With only three games to play, the possible outcomes are diminishing. If Alex draws either of his remaining games then he is the champion unless that draw is with Chris and Richard wins his last two games in which case he takes it. Otherwise (keep up!), Steve wins. From the relegation perspective, Nick has already gone and will now be joined by Ravi unless Richard (who could still be champion or get relegated!) loses his last two or Chris loses his last one.
In division 2, despite nearly losing on time, John overcame Neil in an unpredictable encounter. Gerry gained a small edge against Mac and converted it efficiently.
These results mean that the second promotion spot will definitely not go to Neil, will almost certainly not go to Steve and will very probably not go to Gerry. John, Joe and Ben however, can more or less certainly gain the prize if they simply win their remaining games.
